Irish starts the New Year off with a BANG!

Location- Texas

Outfitter- Klesko’s Ranch

Weapon- Christensen Arms Rifle

Cameraman- Self

After driving 23 hours from Minnesota to Texas, Jason didn’t waste any time and climbed into a 20 foot box blind. Two hours into the hunt Jason saw this big old wide buck coming his way. When the buck stopped at 85 yards he was able to make a killing shot with his Christensen Arms Rifle all while filming himself….yet again! Irish also spent some time filming some of Ryan’s guests during their hunts during the week. Look for some great Texas late season action on an upcoming episode of Hardcore Hunting TV!

Irish Still Going!

Location- North Dakota

Weapon- Hoyt Maxxis

Outfitter- N/A

Cameraman- Self

Anyone who knows Jason Irish knows that his two favorite honey holes are Kansas where he’s taken a buck every year for his last 10 and North Dakota with his buddy Todd Thompson. Well, after 3 seperate trips to North Dakota this season and some interesting challenges he finally put a Rage in the cage of a beautiful mid 140’s class nine point. Late season was the ticket for Irish this year as it was 27 below with the wind chill the day he released an Easton arrow. Deer were moving like crazy and at one point he estimated seeing over 300 deer in an alfalfa field all at once. Catching this buck moving from bedding to feeding was the key on this December hunt!

Clawson Scores Late Season!

Location- New Mexico

Weapon- .270 WSM

Outfitter- N/A

After guiding Elk  hunters all season, Pro Staffer Olin Clawson finally had his chance to hunt the bulls he’d been chasing all year. Opting to hunt with his bow, Olin had several close calls with some true giants including this bull that he ended up taking with his rifle on the last day of his hunt. Scoring 372, Olin moved to cut off this bull as he fed with a group of elk down a canyon. New Mexico has long been known as a trophy elk state and this bull obviously falls into that category!

Rocket Strikes Again!

Location- Montana

Outfitter- Trophies West

Weapon/Ammo- .300 WSM Winchester 180 grain Accubond Ammo

After running into a blizzard and horrendous road conditions on his way home from Kansas, Rocket decided to lay over for a few days at the lodge of Trophies West Outfitting Co. in Eastern Montana. Rocket has guided for TWO for 5 years now and figured he’d help out the last of the clients and have Thanksgiving with the crew. Saturday morning after all the clients had hit the road Craig Hueter, Outfitter, told Rocket to go and kill a buck. Not seeing anything that got him excited Rocket opted to take this old management Mule Deer that was still rutting does. TWO strictly age manages their properties and as a result kill some huge deer. Rocket was happy to do his part for the program and kill a cool old buck to fill his freezer for the winter!

Irish Does it Again!

Location- Illinois

Outfitter- Midwest Whitetail Adventures

Weapon- Hoyt Maxxis

Cameraman- Darin McBeath

Third times a charm. Jason had been two the big buck state of Illinois twice before but ate tag soup. This time Darren invited Jason to come hunt Midwest Whitetail Adventures with Mark Knight. After many great encounters the temps started to rise and the encounters slowed down. Then as luck would have it this nice 130class 8 point came into Hoyt range and the Rage broadhead made quick work of this buck.

JT Score in Illinois!

Location- Illinois

Outfitter- Heartland Outfitters

Weapon- Hoyt Maxxis

Camaraman- Layton Hoyer

When I got a call from Ron Allen of the Illinois Conservation Foundation about attending a charity event at Heartland Outfitters of Brown County Illinois I was ecstatic. The event was to help the foundation to raise money for their operations. Celebrities included retired MLB players Danny Cox, Ken Daily and Hall of Famer Bruce Sutton as well as lead guitar player for Three Doors Down Matt Roberts. The first morning found JT and Layton surrounded by fighting, chasing, and grunting bucks. JT waited and sent a Rage two blade through this funky racked bruiser. The deer ran a mere 15yds before piling up on video.

Cameraman: Craig Stinehaur

Trev rolled into Milford, KS to hunt with his friends and outfitters – Grandpa Boone’s Cabin (Brad and Dan Rather) a little earlier than usual. The weather had been pretty hot but his second evening sit he and cameraman Craig Stinehour were ecstatic to hear a deer coming in from a creek bottom behind them and even more excited to see that he was a good mature 145 inch buck. JT Doubles Up on Opener!

Date- October 15th

Location- Wyoming

Animal- 4×4 Mulie

Weapon- Christensen Arms Rifle

Cameraman- Layton Hoyer

With Irish killing a deer and JT tagging out on a nice antelope that morning, the crew went back into town and skinned, caped and boned out their animals. After grabbing a bite to eat it was time to head back out to the hills to try to find JT a Deer. Counting on the deer to retrace their route back into the alfalfa that evening, JT and Layton made their way up to the same ridge that Jason and Rocket scored on that morning. Sure enough just a few minutes before last light this nice buck crested the ridge and began making its way down the drainage to the alfalfa below. After a shift to the top of the ridge they caught the buck in the bottom and the rest is history!

JT Follows up Below!

Location- Wyoming

Weapon- Christensen Arms rifle

Animal- 14 inch Antelope

Cameraman- Layton Hoyer

After hearing Irish shoot above him in the hills JT knew that Jason had probably filled his deer tag. JT and Layton were set up on the edge of an alfalfa field down below between the public land and the private hoping to catch some deer moving off in that direction. After spending the first hour not seeing many deer and no shooters JT spotted a good antelope buck crossing off the public and into his alfalfa field. After a short stalk down the creek bottom, Layton got the goat in frame and JT made a one shot kill with his Christensen Arms.

Irish First in Wyoming!

Location-Wyoming

Outfitter-N/A

Weapon-Christensen Arms

Cameraman- Rocket Ryan

Jason and Rocket climbed up into the breaks above some alfalfa fields long before daylight on opening morning of Wyoming’s Rifle season in anticipation of catching some deer as they climbed the hills to bed. After believing they had set up in a bad spot not long after first light they had started to pack up their gear and re-locate. Just as they started to move, Jason spied this nice 4 point Mule Deer coming over the ridge. Rocket got the camera turned around and got on the deer as Jason got set and made a very well placed shot from his Custom Christensen Arms rifle.
